Tove and Jez and their Cliveden House Wedding
I am so proud to be a recommended wedding photographer at Cliveden House and have enjoyed working with them for over 15 years now, both as a preferred wedding and events photographer.
Cliveden House is famous for its love affairs in history and is a stunning hotel and spa with the most beautiful grounds. I absolutely love photographing at Cliveden House. If you have never been, I highly recommend a visit, be it for a walk in the garden, afternoon tea, a cocktail in the bar, or dinner at the Grill.
Some couples you meet really touch you and this was one such couple. Their story begins with sadness as Tove and Jez met each other a few years ago at a bereavement support group after both losing their partners. Soon a friendship blossomed, which turned into love and eventually a new family. Both Tove and Jez had two daughters each from their first marriages and by the time they married, they had a new little girl between them. This wedding was such a wonderful celebration of their love and coming together as a family.

Tove looked stunning, dressed in a simple knee-length lace dress and carrying a blush rose bouquet. The couple’s daughters were all flower girls in white dresses tied with ribbon sashes. Jez looked handsome in his grey suit and pink tie. Tove and Jez married in the library with their closest 40 family and friends in attendance.

One of my favorite photographs from the day was of the couple’s daughters as they danced in the grounds, swirling their dresses around them with one of the famous Cliveden statuses watching over them. It is a totally natural, unposed shot, the girls were oblivious to me and my camera, innocently lost in the moment.
When Tove and Jez saw the photos they fell in love with the photograph of her parents and the girls as they waited in the library for the wedding to start, their eldest daughter had climbed the footstep to reach the library shelves and is reading a book. Tove said ‘this is perfect, she is our little bookworm, she always has her head in a book’.
The couple and their guests then enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the French dining room, the tables and chairs were dressed in cream and gold to match the room décor. After the mal their daughters put on a special performance for their parents.
Tove and Jez asked me to photograph a party for 150 guests they held later in the year in a marquee in their garden as a celebration of their marriage.

Mark was our Cliveden House wedding photographer at our wedding in August… the entire day was captured perfectly and Mark’s personality was so much fun while getting ready and throughout the day.
