Essex Wedding Photographer at Crondon Park Golf Club
I photographed boxer Charlie Duffield last year when he married Carly, and today I photographed Carly’s brother Daniel on his wedding day to Lauren.
The wedding ceremony and celebrations took place at a local golf course Crondon Park in Essex, but my day started at a local hotel with the groom.
Capturing the bride and the bridesmaids as they get ready has become a natural part of the photographing wedding day, the hair and make-up, detail shots of the dresses, shoes and flowers, all form part of telling the story. For the groom though, there tends not to be such an emphasis, however it was different photographing Daniel and his groomsmen. I got a photo of the contents of Daniel’s emptied pockets by the bed and his speech notes. Daniel had taught himself via a ‘you tube’ video, how to tie the perfect bow tie, so we got photos of Daniel tying all his groomsmen ties. But the most important photographs taking during this part of the day were memories of Daniel’s special friend who had died. And for the beautiful bride Lauren and her bridesmaids, she opted not to have any pre-wedding pictures done so I had to wait for her to arrive at the Golf Course to take some stunning bridal portraits.
The guys looked very smart in black tie with the groom Daniel opting for a white tuxedo. Lauren wore a gorgeous long white gown with an art deco sequin embellished design and cut low at the back, with a long veil worn at the back of the head flowing to the floor.
Lauren had two flower girls with floral headbands, Carly was also a bridesmaid dressed in a simple white gown, and they all had gypsophila bouquets. Daniel’s dad was best man and he had Charlie and his best mates as ushers and groomsmen.
The ceremony room was dressed elegantly, it was bright and airy, the chairs were draped in white and the aisle seats were finished with small posies of gypsophila.
Observational documentary photography allows you to capture all the wonderful, funny, natural and intimate moments that occur throughout a wedding day with the bride and groom and their guests. At Lauren and Daniel’s wedding there was plenty of time to record these special moments as the bride and groom mingled with their guests on the terrace. One of my favourite was the ‘guys’ hanging out together checking out one of the guests cool new jacket. Inside the ‘girls’ got together with Lauren singing round the tables.
I took Lauren and Daniel down to the gardens and lake area to get some beautiful shots of the two of them and we also took some time for a few important group shots of the family with the bride and groom.
Lauren and Daniel had their first dance to Paulo Nutini’s ‘Better man’ before everyone danced the evening away to the disco.
The newlyweds are off for a sun filled honeymoon in the wonderful exotic Mauritius.
