Fulham Palace Wedding Photography with Claire & Aaron
I love being a London Jewish wedding photographer and I always love returning to shoot wedding photography at Fulham Palace. Claire and Aaron chose the perfect venue for their gorgeous summer wedding in London. On the day I got there early and caught up with Claire and her bridal party who were getting ready at the very chic Chelsea Harbour Hotel. Claire was in good spirits and safe hands with her five bridesmaids as well as her hair sytlist and make up artist. Claire looked amazing in a stunning Shanna Melville gown that had a a sweetheart neckline and intricate button details down the back and a delicate lace sleeved top. She completed her outfit by wearing a matching veil and pearl jewellery and a beautiful pair of Jimmy Choo Wedding Shoes. Bridesmaids wore gorgeous powder blue dresses. Once Claire was ready we went down to the harbour to get some gorgeous bridal images of her.
Not only did Claire have me documenting the special morning of bridal preparations at Chelsea Harbour her aunty a professional artist was also there sketching the wedding scenes as they unfolded as well as throughout their wedding day. So between
Aaron got ready at his friends flat overlooking London Bridge with a second wedding photographer Steve photographing the him and his grooms party. Aaron the groom wore a dark blue wedding day suit, grey waistcoat and matching blue tie, whilst the rest of the grooms party wore smart three piece grey suits .
The story of their wedding day
After the short drive from Chelsea Harbour Claire took the short walk on her dads arm and with a solo musician playing she glided across the lawn at Fulham Palace and up the stunning rose petalled grass wedding Isle aisle lined with Indian style umbrellas to her waiting groom, Aaron.
The couple had a combined faith service in the gardens at Fulham Palace where both a vicar and a Jewish rabbi, stood waiting under a floral archway/chuppah to take their wedding nuptials. Claire and Aaron symbolised their wedding vows to one another by lighting a beautiful wedding candle, and Aaron completed the ceremony with the Jewish wedding tradition of stamping on the glass.
A wedding reception with canapés and prosecco followed for their guests whilst a small number of important formal family group photos were taken along with some beautiful wedding day portraits of Claire and Aaron together in the Fulham Palace Botanical Gardens.
One of the many reasons why I love shooting wedding photography at Fulham Palace is that is a glorious mixture of different styles and periods. A Tudor Mansion, with Georgian additions and a Victorian chapel have earned it its Grade I listed status. This means it offers really versatile spaces. Claire and Aaron had their wedding reception in Fulham Palace’s majestic Chaplain’s walled garden marquee. A purpose built pavillion marquee nestled in a peaceful garden beside the picturesque Tait Chapel. It was flooded with natural light (London wedding photographers favourite words) and the draped ceiling was adorned in pretty fairy lights. It really was a magical setting for a wedding reception.
Laura and Aaron started the wedding breakfast with traditional Jewish dancing including the Jora dance that saw them being hoisted on chairs into the air whilst their family danced around them. It made a fantastic image. The Jazz Prescription Band providing musical accompaniment. Everybody then sat down to a sumptuous three course wedding breakfast. After the traditional speeches Claire and Aaron took to the dance floor to the sounds of Fitzgerald.
Evening celebrations started with a first dance for Claire and Aaron accompanied by a live band who saw that the dancefloor remained full for the rest of the evening. These guys were all up for a party! At the end of the evening Claire and Aaron guests did a sparkler serenade that ended in the most gorgeous kiss between Claire and Aaron. I captured the moment and it was one of my favourite photographs of the day and the perfect image to close the story of Claire and Aaron’s beautiful wedding day.
A luxurious, fun and wonderfully blended wedding in London for a lovely couple at an awesome London wedding venue. Congratulations Claire and Aaron for getting married and creating such an amazing day. I hope my images will help you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
