bride with her bridesmaids

Kensington Palace Wedding

I first met Acoris the groom of this wedding through my photography exhibition at The Virgin Lounge in central London, Acoris Andipa invited me to his art gallery in Knightsbridge called Andipa which is one of the oldest Art Galleries in London . I was so pleased when he asked to exhibit my photography for a month and once agreed his next question was ” Can you please photograph our Kensington Palace wedding.

Bride gets ready at The Belgrave Hotel

Emel the bride got ready at The Belgrave Hotel in Knightsbridge. I photographed Emel whilst she was getting ready and had to take a detail shot of not one pair of wedding shoes, but a bag of Jimmy Choos, all for her wedding !  I told the bride my story about how I got to meet and photograph Jimmy Choo following another brides wedding, and now that portrait is held in the National Portrait archive.

The bride wore a stunning white wedding gown with a full skirt and embroidered bodice, with lace edged wedding veil Emel wore her hair long in soft curls, she looked absolutely beautiful as she carried a simple wedding bouquet of white roses whilst Acoris looked cool and handsome in his classic morning suit with pink tie and waistcoat. The perfect wedding outfit.

On arriving at the Palace, the wedding guests were greeted with champagne and canapes, supplied by wedding supplier Francesca Montaut, as they mingled on the terrace, perfect for natural informal wedding photographs of the couple and their guests that I take with my camera.

The bride walked up the isle in the Kensington Palace Pavilion followed by her four bridesmaids to meet her groom and take their wedding vows together watched by their children , family and wedding guests.

One of my favourite wedding pictures from the day is where the Bride and Groom take a quiet moment having just married where brides veil flows and dances with the wind

The Wedding Reception

The one long table in The Orangery, were set with white flowers and candles and each setting had a small silver box, and gold rimmed glasses. A harpist played for the guests and speeches were given by Emel’s dad and Acoris’s mum. Acoris sung to Emel. The couple were brought their white three tiered wedding cake decorated with real roses to the table to cut.

The dance floor was dressed with trees decorated by candles as the bride and groom took to the floor for an incredible first dance whilst their wedding guests watched in awe at the groom guiding his bride around the dance floor.

Kensington Palace wedding

Wedding Photographs captured naturally at Kensington Palace as the bride and groom wanted a relaxed informal wedding with their guests and didn’t want to pose to much in front of the camera.
