London Wedding Photographer at London Golf Club
I have just taken break from retouching some images from a recent wedding and thought I would write a quick blog. The images I have been working on are from the marriage of Beverly and Phil. What an incredible day!
Beverly and Phil were married at The London Golf Club in Kent. In my opinion this is one of, if not the best Kent wedding venues. Set in the stunning North Downs amongst 700 acres, the venue offers lavish indoor and rich outdoor spaces, which make for beautiful wedding photography.
Beverly and Phil decided to have their ceremony and reception at London Golf Club, which worked incredibly well as it meant that I was able to capture all of the special details that were woven into their magnificent wedding.
Guests approached the impressive clubhouse by driving down the striking mile long driveway. Family and friends entered the clubhouse via the grandeur of the oak clad Great Hall where they were welcomed into the Long Bar with drinks and canapés.
The ceremony room looked stunning. Chic weddings provided a beautiful backdrop, chair covers were supplied by Esta and the room was decorated with gorgeous floral designs by Lynette Fuller. Beverly had arranged for the London Welsh Choir to sing during the ceremony, a sneaky surprise for Welsh born husband to be Phil. The choir were amazing, especially when they erupted into Delilah by Tom Jones… You can imagine the look on Phil’s face when the entire wedding party joined in!
After the ceremony Aiden Kent entertained guests with a selection of soothing lounge music. Joy Dey took over the musical reins with her beautiful voice during the register and dinner. Once speeches were over it was time for Tracy to step in with smooth piano and saxophone melodies.
The patio and terrace provided the perfect setting for guests to relax and enjoy reception drinks. This area is wonderful for photography, with a stunning view over the lakes and manicured fairways. It was a wonderful to be able to use the natural light to capture guest as they unwound into the evening’s celebration. While outside we were treated to an aeroplane fly over with a banner proclaiming ‘We did it’. This was a fabulous opportunity for me to photograph the emotions of the guests as the plane roared overhead.
As everyone continued to enjoy the early evening weather I took Phil and Beverly away from the cheer and laughter of the terrace to shoot some more creative wedding photography. We headed towards some of the fine art statues that adorn the London Golf Club and used the beautiful evening light known as the golden hour to capture some striking images of the newlyweds against the colourful evening sky.
As we headed back towards the clubhouse we could hear the merriment of friends and family, the atmosphere was electric… It was time to move inside where Phil and Beverly took to the dance floor for the first dance…Nana Maskouri, Only Love.
A final surprise came in the form of Amber and her Bollywood Vibes dancers who provided a 10 minute explosion of Bollywood dancing. I took some vibrant, colourful photographs as the crowd were entertained by this incredible dance crew.
Once the dust had settled it was time for Ross Elliott and the Milomax Band to see the evening home with a selection of old and new classics as guests put on their dancing shoes.
Considering all of the elements involved in this extraordinary wedding, the day had a very relaxed and informal feel to it. The celebration was extremely well planned and executed by Beverly (super Bride) and Becky (London Golf Club wedding coordinator).
