A unique Grade II listed Georgian wedding venue it is situated in the highest point of Richmond Park, affording it spectacular views over the Thames Valley, Windsor and Surrey. A beautiful house, in beautiful gardens, sitting in a Royal London Park. Pembroke Lodge has a beautiful entrance that makes a real impression as soon as you arrive along with making a great place to take some of your wedding photographs, so is ideal if you’re looking for a luxurious wedding venue that makes an instant impact on your wedding guests as soon as they get their first glimpse of where they are going to enjoy the day with all the other wedding guests. It has two separate banqueting suites for you to choose between for your wedding, The Belvedere and The Russell.
The Russell Suite at Pembroke House for your Wedding Reception
The Russell Suite is recommended for up to 70 of your wedding guests for a wedding ceremony through to 100 guests for an evening wedding reception so it’s ideal for small to medium sized family weddings. Situated on the first floor of the Georgian Wing the suite includes many period features such as a feature fireplace, chandeliered ceilings, large mirrors and original artworks. Its large windows and light interiors flood the space with tons of natural light. Us London wedding photographers love any additional light, that we can play with to create even more beautiful images.
You can choose to have your wedding ceremony in The Russell Suite itself or have an outside wedding in their own private Woodland Garden. In good weather wedding reception drinks take place on the South lawn whilst in poor weather the Bertrand Russell Suite is made available for your wedding guests to mingle. The Russell Suite’s really is a perfect room for your wedding with its neutral palette and wooden floors that create a blank canvas for you to add your personality according to the style of the wedding you’ve always dreamed of.

The Belvedere Suite is Pembroke Lodge’s purpose-built wedding venue situated on the ground floor. It’s an impressive space with a private terrace that offers spectacular views over the Thames Valley. It can accommodate up to 140 guests for a wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast and up to 200 guests for an evening reception. So, if you’re looking to end your wedding day with a epic wedding party then this could be ideal for you. You can choose to have your wedding ceremony in The Belvedere or in good weather outside. Drinks receptions are usually held on the private terrace though the Soane Rooms are made available when the weather is poor. The Belveredere Room has a license to serve drinks until midnight.

Natural Pembroke Lodge Wedding Photography
When I take wedding photographs at Pembroke Lodge, I love taking my wedding couples away for a few minutes for a mini wedding photoshoot, I always choose a time when your wedding guests are happily mingling and soaking up their surroundings whilst eating fresh canapes and sipping a glass of bubbly at the wedding reception. We take a short walk into tranquil Richmond Park taking informal and candid wedding photographs that are totally relaxed and even sometimes catch a glimpse of one of the 650 deer that live there.

One of the many reasons I why I love Pembroke Lodge is that it’s a wedding venue for all seasons. Its location in the beautiful Richmond Park and its stunning grounds and gardens mean that in Spring its impressive frontage is covered in beautiful and photogenic wisteria which makes a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photographs. Whilst in the summer, I love capturing early evening sunset photographs in the golden hour whilst in Autumn the wedding venue is awash with colour and atmospheric light and long shadows which make for amazing atmospheric wedding photographs. In Winter, the low winter sun outside blended with atmospheric lighting indoors, with nods to the Christmas season in the form of fairy lights create a magical ambience perfect for your winter wedding.
Whatever the time of year or day and whatever the weather throws at us, Pembroke Lodge always offers me a wealth of amazing backdrops for beautiful wedding photos allowing me to create beautiful wedding images that my clients are always thrilled with.
Pembroke Lodge is easily accessible by car for your wedding guests and can accommodate up to 200 cars for free parking. They don’t offer onsite accommodation for your wedding guests but there are a number of great hotels in Richmond (and Richmond upon thames) to suit all budgets. Such as Petersham Hotel, Bingham Riverhouse, Richmond Hill Hotel and Richmond Harbour Hotel. There are also a number of Airbnb properties nearby. For those travelling on the day Richmond train and underground station is 1.8 miles away.
