The Post Barn

The Post Barn is one of a few great new wedding venues Newbury that not many brides know about. Its situated near Henwick House Gardens in Newbury and has a history that dates back to 1700 when it was used as a community stable for the horses at Henwick House.

The barn still retains its original wooden beams and with solid oak floors it has an old English charm that was all kept during its renovation and now with its fresh makeover its one of the trendiest cool wedding venues near Newbury that I’m aware of. where you can hold your wedding ceremony either indoors or outdoors.

With plenty of space for your wedding guests and direct access to a beautiful outdoor garden for your summer wedding ceremony or cocktail reception.

The Post Barn has a purpose built Bridal Suite with everything you as a bride would need to get ready on your wedding day. For your partner you could use nearby cottage room which is a perfect way to keep the wedding party together ready for the wedding celebrations.

Newbury Wedding Photographer

Welford Park

Another hidden gem especially if you are looking to hold your wedding in an Orchard in their walled garden surrounded by apple and pear trees and your own wild flower meadow your reception can be held in a marquee at this picturesque and cool wedding venue that is perfect for a festival themed wedding.

Couples fall in love when they see the Forest Edge Tipi’s set out in the woodland of Welford Park seeing it as a relaxed wedding venue with complete flexibility of what suppliers you want to make your wedding day perfect.

Wedding Venues Newbury

Welford Park in rural Berkshire is a beautiful 3000 acre farming estate that is surrounded by an amazing bluebell forest where you can get married in the woods surrounded by these beautiful wild flowers followed by a reception next to its tranquil lake with amazing views of the rolling hills over the Lambourne countryside its a real hidden gem that is just perfect for either large marques or small intimate tipis with 4 beautiful cottages for your closest wedding guests and car parking for around 100 cars.

The Crab and Boar

The Crab and Boar is one of winters great wedding venues near Newbury that offers cool function spaces and rooms for your wedding day all with their own cosy distinctive character where your wedding guests can mingle with a glass of mulled wine next to the rip roaring log fires.

Their award-winning dining room is at the heart of this pub venue with rich interiors and cool rustic décor that includes pillar candles and beautiful furnishings. Leading off this cosy, elegant space, The Cromwell Room provides a stately setting with a large wooden table for up to 14 people. The Glass Room is a gorgeous enclosed space where 24 can dine in their own luxurious snug. With exclusive hire, the venue can easily host up to 60 guests for a civil ceremony and 70 for a wedding breakfast, followed by a lively reception for as many as 120. A marquee can also be set up on the outside grounds for larger events. The outdoor setting is a fun alternative during warmer months, where guests can indulge in a BBQ-style event and sun-kissed drink or two. At the end of the night, you can retreat to one of the 14 luxury and hot tub rooms, each one boasting a signature look while also being pet-friendly.

Shaw House

Wedding Venues Newbury Shaw House is a really unique venue as its also the home of the West Berkshire Registry Office. The venue has magnificent backdrops which are great as a berkshire wedding photographer.

Shaw house is often described as a hidden gem with an abundance of character its located just outside Newbury and is a grade II listed 16th century building built by Thomas Dolman with three beautiful rooms in which to hold your wedding ceremony its steeped in history as the Head quarters for King Charles I for the battle of Newbury!

Shaw House hosts the beautiful Great Hall where you have a magnificent long isle to walk down past up to 100 of wedding guests and family.

HighClere Castle

Highclere Castle the location of Downton Abbey is one of the most beautiful wedding locations in the South of England and Wedding Venues Newbury Run by Lady Carnarvon whose weekly podcast about every day life at the castle can be listened to. With Weddings beginning at £25,000 its a magnificent venue to say I do !

Highclere Castle is the perfect place to hold a reception to mark a special occasion such as a birthday, wedding anniversary or engagement.

A maximum of 150 guests can enjoy champagne and canapés in the State Rooms, The events team at Highclere Castle are always happy to help you plan your wedding and if the weather is kind, guests can step onto the South lawn to view the grounds that surrounds the Castle.

Highclere castle is also suited to smaller more intimate weddings of up to 30 people although if your looking for more guests to invite you have the option of a custom marquee

The stunning Saloon is Licensed for civil wedding ceremonies after getting ready in one of the elegant south facing bedrooms in the castle you’ll be making your grand entrance by descending the sweeping oak staircase and taking your vows in front of your nearest and dearest friends and family.

Donnington Valley

Donnington Valley is one of the most well known Wedding Venues Newbury Newbury that is in a beautiful setting where time has almost stood still with its amazing interiors and picturesque countryside scenes as a Berkshire wedding photographer its one of those Newbury wedding venues that is great to work at as a wedding photographer.

Donnington valley has two options for you as a bride to choose from when walking down the isle from the elegant light and airy Cromwell suite or in Greens with its outside terrace with stunning views of the Donnington Valley parklands, its perfect for smaller more intimate wedding ceremonies.
