Katy & Mikey at Northcote House

Long time friend John Fry recommended Katy and Mike to use me for their chosen Northcote House Wedding photography as they wanted their day photographed with little fuss but to enjoy their planned wedding with their family and wedding guests.

I started the day at Katy’s charming cottage just a short walk from their local church to photograph the bride her mum Krystina and her bridesmaids as their had their make up and hair done.

Dad arrived at Katy’s house to see his beautiful daughter dressed in her Pronovias dress and the emotions flowed as so often when a father sees his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress. Tears of joy flowed and make up was re applied just prior to dad and Katy taking the 2 min walk to their local church where Mikey his best man and two users waited.

As Dad walked his daughter the bride down the wedding isle the groom Mikey caught his first glimpse of his wife to be.. his smile said it all.. SNAP.. that’s the picture that says a thousand words with the next one I want to take is as Dad give his daughters hand to Mikey.

The whole ceremony was photographed using the natural light in the church letting me capture both the ambience and candid moments that occurred throughout the ceremony and then the signing of the register and finally the couple walking down the isles to smiles and hugs from their wedding guests as the newlyweds.

It was raining lightly outside so Katy exited the church with a white umbrella. SNAP anther storytelling moment captured on my camera ! and got onto their own vintage Volkswagen beetle complete with a ‘Just married Sign ‘

They took the short journey to Northcote Park where I quickly photographed a couple of bridal portraits for the album before all their seventy guests arrived to enjoy champagne and canapes in the main hall.

The Speeches too place prior to the wedding breakfast a delicious three course meal followed by the wedding couple cutting their three tier wedding cake and then moving onto their first dance
