Savoy Wedding Photography with Alexandra and Howard
Howard and Alexandra were married at The Savoy, London, and the whole day was coordinated by the incredible creative events company Just Seventy, known for its incredible attention to detail. who asked me to capture their The Savoy Wedding Photography.
The couple got ready in a suite at the Savoy hotel before marrying in the Abraham Lincoln Room. I took only a few pre-wedding photos of the bride and groom, as they were determined that they should enjoy the day and have their wedding captured throughout with total unposed natural, candid, documentary wedding photography.
Howard looked every inch the sophisticated trendy man about town in his paisley design grey wedding suit worn with a lilac shirt and wine-colored tie. Howard had a dark red/orange hydrangea buttonhole.
Alexandra the bride wore a knee-length wedding dress and matching bolero jacket of a pale blue-grey base to compliment her groom Howard, whilst the bride carried a bouquet that beautifully matched the flowers in the print. She wore a headband with a short wedding veil in pale blue.
I photographed the bride with my camera as she was escorted by her son and daughter down the aisle at The Savoy to the stunning Chuppah where stood the waiting groom and his wedding guests. The Chuppah itself was dressed with white hydrangeas and red roses and lit by candles in glass lanterns filled with rose petals.
As the ceremony began MC Darren ensured the wedding procession started by first announcing the parents and finally the bride. Rabbi Hackenbroch conducted the traditional Jewish wedding ceremony attended by around 150 wedding guests.
The Abraham Lincoln wedding room at the Savoy had a stunning sumptuous red theme complete with a red carpet aisle, chairs and table dressings, floral arrangements, and lighting. The Jersey Boys who performed in the evening wore their red jackets too. All the beautiful wedding flowers were created by Rob Van Helden and were absolutely stunning.
The long table was adorned with tall glass vases filled with white and pink roses to compliment the room and set with teacups and sandwich tongs which made a unique detail photograph. The bride and grooms chair’s had their own floral arrangements. The wedding guests were entertained by a roaming band vocal group whilst they enjoyed an ‘afternoon tea-themed wedding breakfast, served on traditional cake stands, with delicious sandwiches, scones, and cakes.
Howard the groom gave a welcome speech and then everyone enjoyed the evening where there were some fabulous photos of Howard and Alexandra with their guest dancing and enjoying the incredible Ryan Molloy and the Jersey Boy’s special performance.
