Bride and Groom in the Bar at The Langham

The Langham Wedding Photography

New Year’s Eve wedding at The Langham Hotel, London with Nicola and David

The Langham Hotel is not only one of my favourite places to visit in London, but it is an amazing venue to photograph weddings. I am very proud to have a long relationship with the wedding and events team at The Langham and they recommend as a wedding photographer to couples getting married as well as asking me to photograph their special events at the hotel.

The first thing that you notice when you step into the hotel is the incredible smell of fresh roses. The entrance always has the most incredible floral arrangement as you walk up the steps, and roses were also the floral theme for this wedding, with the brides bouquet, and the grooms corsage and buttons holes all white roses, whilst the tables for the wedding breakfast were dressed with arrangements of white and pink roses, supplied by wedding florist Lavender Green.

As a young lad David the grroom loved football and was one of Arsenal’s biggest fans with a poster of the Arsenal and England legend footballer Brian Talbot on his bedroom wall. Little did he know then, that he would grow up to meet his hero’s daughter and end up marrying her!

Nicola and David met and two years later he proposed marriage by laying out the questions, ‘will you marry me?’ in chocolate buttons on the bed. Then the couple planned their wedding at The Langham for New Year’s Eve, ready to start the new year as husband and wife.

Nicola got ready in the same suite that David had proposed marriage to her in. She wore a stunning full length strapless wedding gown, beautifully embroidered, and falling into a mermaid tail and train. Nicola wore the ultimate bridal shoes, a pair of white patent Louboutin heels whilst her beautiful bridal jewellery was by Jenny Packham. David the groom had bought her a new Rolex watch as a wedding gift, ready for their diving honeymoon.

David wore a blue suit for the marriage and the two bridesmaids wore elegant pink gowns with crystal embellishments.

The room for the ceremony wher they took their nuptials had a wall of white willow trees lit by candle tea lights. The wedding guest book was on a table of rose petals with photos telling the story of their love.

I took Nicola and David for some lovely wedding portraits in the hotel’s courtyard, and also used the front of the iconic hotel with its lit up christmas trees and entrance as a back drop, the hotel’s famous award winning cocktail bar, complete with glasses of champagne, and of course some bridal photos next to the stunning Christmas tree.

Nicola and David had a few wedding group photo shots and of course a photograph of cutting their stunning three tier wedding cake which was adorned with fresh flowers and had a middle tier of silver.

The couple and their guests danced their wedding night away to a disco on an illuminated dance floor.

A Testimonial from The Bride and Groom

Mark was recommended to us as our Langham wedding photographer by The Langham Hotel wedding event department where we were having our wedding. We met Mark in London to discuss our requirements and the fact that he was familiar with the venue made the whole experience stress free. We didn’t have to worry about where the photos needed to be taken or to arrange a visit to the hotel as he had this in hand already which worked brilliantly. Mark is very approachable, friendly and a dream to work with on your wedding day.

Nothing is ever too much. Mark captured our wedding day perfectly, from the getting ready shots to the guests arriving, the ceremony, speeches, our first dance plus many more magical moments. We would highly recommend Mark to any couple getting married who are trying to find a highly professional photographer who works outside of the box as well as making you and your guests feel extremely welcome. We cannot wait to receive the album now and re-live our special day.
