The Jersey Boys at The Savoy

The Savoy Wedding Photography

Savoy Wedding Photography featuring Alexandra and Howard

Jewish wedding at The Savoy, London – a Just Seventy Event

Howard and Alexandra the Groom and Bride were married at The Savoy, London and the whole day was coordinated by
the incredible creative events company Just Seventy, known for their incredible attention to detail.
The couple got ready in a suite at the Savoy hotel before marrying in the Abraham Lincoln Room. I took
only a few pre wedding photos of the bride and groom, as they were determined that they should
enjoy the day and have their wedding captured throughout with totally un posedd natural, candid, documentary wedding photography.
Howard looked every inch the sophisticated trendy man about town in his paisley design grey wedding suit
worn with a lilac shirt and wine coloured tie. Howard had a dark red/orange hydrangea button hole.

Alexandra the bride wore a knew length wedding dress and matching bolero jacket of a pale blue-grey base to compliment her groom Howard, whilst the bride carried a bouquet that beautifully matched the flowers in the print. She wore a headband with short wedding veil in pale blue.

I photographed the bride with my camera as she was escorted by her son and daughter down the aisle at The Savoy to the stunning Chuppah where stood the waiting groom and his wedding guests. The Chuppah itself was dressed with white hydrangeas and red roses, and lit by candles in glass lanterns filled with rose petals.

As the ceremony began MC Darren ensured the wedding procession started by first announcing the parents and finally the bride .Rabbi Hackenbroch conducted the traditional Jewish wedding ceremony attended buy around 150 wedding guests.

The Abraham Lincoln Room at The Savoy

Savoy wedding setting by Just Seventy

The Abraham Lincoln wedding room at the Savoy had a stunning sumptuous red theme complete with red carpet aisle, chairs and table dressings, floral arrangements and lighting. The Jersey Boys who performed in the evening wore
their red jackets too.
All the beautiful wedding flowers were created by Rob Van Helden and were absolutely stunning.
There were canapes and cocktails; sushi and Manhattans as the 150 wedding guests congratulated the newly
married couple.

The long table was adorned with tall glass vases were filled with white and pink roses to compliment
the room and set with teacups and sandwich tongs which made a unique detail photograph. The bride and
grooms chair’s had their own floral arrangements.
The wedding guests were entertained by a roaming band vocal group whilst they enjoyed an ‘afternoon tea’
themed wedding breakfast, served on tradition cake stands, with delicious sandwiches, scones and
cakes.

Howard the groom gave a welcome speech and then everyone enjoyed the evening where there were some
fabulous photos of Howard and Alexandra with their guest dancing and enjoying the incredible Ryan
Molloy and the Jersey Boy’s special performance.

The Grove Wedding Photography - Mark Seymour Photography

The Grove Wedding Photography

The Grove is a splendid wedding venue and one I have photographed many times. A lot of my Jewish brides choose this venue for its beautiful outside space to have their chuppah, and it’s also perfect for Asian Mandaps too.

The Grove is a country estate in 300 acres of its own grounds including gardens and water features and golf course. The modern hotel is all decorated beautifully and the rooms are perfect for the bride to get ready in and for you and your guests to stay. In addition, the guests can relax prior to the wedding and make use of the spa, play a round of golf or enjoy a cocktail or two at the bar!

There is a dedicated wedding team that will attend to every detail to make sure you have the perfect wedding. There are both Kosher and Asian caterers and the team will create a bespoke menu for you.

There are different rooms available, from the chic and elegant Amber Room, I particularly love the high ceilings and French doors that fill the room with natural light and allow you to mingle with your guests in the formal gardens, perfect for those documentary shots, you can relax and enjoy champagne and canapes as your family and friends congratulate you and I will catch all those wonderful smiles and laughter absolutely naturally.

For smaller intimate weddings there is also the 18th century Mansion and The Potting Shed, a restored Victorian glasshouse located in the Walled Garden.

Some of my favourite bridal shots have taken advantage of the ceiling high windows, curved staircase and architectural lighting that is used around the interior of the corridors. I also have an amazing shot from a Jewish wedding, it was a wonderful sunny day and the wedding was performed outside in the garden, the guys took their jackets off and everyone was feeling a little hot, but as I photographed I noticed an incredible image where the chuppah was reflected in a guest’s sunglasses – a unique documentary photograph at its very best.

Tewin Bury Farm Hotel Wedding Photography - Mark Seymour Photography

Tewin Bury Farm Hotel Wedding Photography

Tewin Bury has been the family home to the Williams family, and a herd of 50 dairy cows as a working farm, since 1931. The family decided to diversify setting up a farm shop and guest rooms in the main farm house. The popularity of the lovely farm house quickly grew and the decision was made to undergo renovation work to develop the facilities into the now Tewin Bury Farm Hotel, incorporating many of the original buildings.

Tewin Bury offer a variety of options for your wedding day; the 17th Century Tythe Barn provides a uniquely beautiful setting with its beautiful solid oak floor, under-floor heating, a minstrels’ gallery overlooking the reception venue, and a lovely walk-way bridge over the river, which takes you and your party onto your own private patio and meadow overlooking the River Mimram. The photography opportunities are incredible as you and your guests enjoy your celebrations and I will be there recording ever wonderful emotional moment.

If you’re planning a smaller wedding The Millstream Suite is ideal and has a private garden and stunning river views and the water meadow beyond. It has an added feature of a wooden pagoda perfect for an outdoor ceremony and bridal photographs. And for large extravagant wedding celebrations The Meadow Barn is a more contemporary option.

Taplow House Hotel is a beautifully maintained country house perfect for weddings in Buckinghamshire, and has quite a history. The House dates back to 1660, but the original building was burnt to the ground before being rebuilt, however the cellars still bear scorch marks from that fire! The current House has been lovingly restored by the present owner, and the grounds are famous for their Tulip Trees and landscape gardens. As you would expect from looking at the exterior, there are grand rooms with elaborate fireplaces taking centre stage, and large windows to allow plenty of natural light, perfect for your documentary wedding photographs.

But there is a wonderful secret, hidden away beneath the ground floor, is a contemporary designed bar with a sunken dance floor!

There is a team of wedding specialists and event coordinators to help you plan every detail of your wedding.
